Robert Tayac
Defense attorney Robert Tayac holds more than a decade of experience defending DUI cases in Northern California. Born and raised in San Francisco, Mr. Tayac graduated with a B.S. degree from the University of California, Davis. He later received his J.D. degree from the University of California, Boalt Hall School of Law, where he was articles editor for the Law Review. Mr. Tayac was a member of the San Francisco Police Department for more than 14 years and achieved the rank of Inspector of Police. As a respected staff attorney for Appellate Defenders in San Diego, he represented people convicted of criminal offences in the Fourth District Court of Appeal. Mr. Tayac has defended countless driving under the influence cases and belongs to numerous professional associations, including the National College for DUI Defense, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, and California Public Defenders Association.

Alan McCann
Alan McCann is a 33-year member of the San Francisco Police Department. Trained in accident investigation and reconstruction, Mr. McCann has conducted over 1,000 DUI investigations and made over 600 DUI arrests. Mr. McCann holds basic, intermediate, and advanced POST (Peace Officer’s Standards and Training) Certificates. He was also awarded the San Francisco Police Department’s highest honor, the Gold Medal of Valor.

Nors Davidson
San Francisco, California criminal defense attorney Nors Davidson is senior managing associate of the Law Office of Robert Tayac. A native of Ketchum, Idaho, Mr. Davidson graduated from the University of Idaho with his bachelors' degree in history. Mr. Davidson moved to San Francisco in 1997 to attend law school at the University of San Francisco. During law school, Mr. Davidson clerked for the homicide division of the San Francisco District Attorney's Office and defended the indigent as a certified law student with the University of San Francisco Criminal Law Clinic.
Criminal defense attorney Nors Davidson joined the Law Office of Robert Tayac in 2005 after completing a term as a misdemeanor department attorney for the San Francisco Public Defender's Office. While acting a Deputy Public Defender, Mr. Davidson defended individuals accused of an array of misdemeanor charges including Driving Under the Influence (DUI). In September of 2005, Mr. Davidson received a certificate of appreciation from Public Defender Jeff Adachi. Through this experience of "running a calendar" in one of the busiest courts in the San Francisco Bay Area, attorney Nors Davidson has developed the reputation, personal contacts and courtroom skills to obtain the best results possible.
Since joining the Law Office of Robert Tayac, Mr. Davidson has represented clients in hundred of DUI cases ranging from simple misdemeanor actions to aggravated felonies. Mr. Davidson has developed a solid working relationship with all major Driver's Safety Offices ("DSO") of the California Department of Motor Vehicles and has likely had multiple hearings with the DMV hearing officer assigned to your case.
California DUI defense lawyer, Nors Davidson, is a general member of the National College for DUI Defense (NCDD) and received his certificate of completion of the 2007 Summer College in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Mr. Davidson has received advanced Field Sobriety Test ("FST") training and completed the Mastering Scientific Evidence in DUI Cases seminar hosted by the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association in 2006. Attorney Davidson is also a member of the California DUI Lawyer's Association (CDLA) and completed the advanced DUI training seminar in 2007 and 2008. Additionally, Mr. Davidson is a member of the California Public Defender's Association and completed the advanced DUI training they sponsored in Monterey, California in 2007.
